About this hunt
Fall seeded open hunt — the LVTHC's annual Big Silver Hunt. CONFIRMED ON: the club's own Facebook event ("Silver Streak 2", Sat Oct 24 at 9 AM, created by organizer Mike Burns) is live as of Oct 5, 2026 — the earlier "tentative due to silver prices" caveat no longer applies. The 2026 edition is 'Silver Strike 2' (dimes, quarters, halves & dollars), companion to their spring open hunt (#31). Saturday Oct 24, 2026 at 2583 South 10th St, Allentown PA 18103; registration 8:30–9:00 AM, event runs to ~2:00 PM. Two silver seeded hunts (a 225'×300' field split into 4 quadrants, 30–45 min each), a poker-run hunt, a free kids hunt, three raffle drawings, and a free lunch (sponsored by IWTV) — all included with paid registration; silver & gold raffles benefit the club. Rules: be registered by 9:00 AM, headphones required, hand shovels only, dig/retrieve your own targets and fill all holes, report your tally. ⚠️ SOLD OUT: all 80 spots are filled, so don't send payment or show up as a walk-in. Contact Mike Burns to ask about a waitlist or late openings. (Original pricing was $125 by Oct 4, 2026 / $150 after.) Info: Mike Burns, smartmark5@gmail.com.
