About this hunt
ESMDA's 56th Annual Club Hunt at Berne Town Park on Route 443, Berne NY. Numbered and colored tokens are seeded across the fields and redeemed for thousands of dollars' worth of coins and prizes, with a coveted "Treasure Chest of Coins" grand prize. Lunch is provided free to hunt participants. Tentative schedule: 9:00 coffee, 10:00 warm-up Indian Head Penny hunt, 11:00 first silver/token hunt, 12:30 lunch, 1:30 second silver/token hunt, 3:00 token prizes awarded. The club also raffles a 1/10-ounce gold coin at the hunt ($5 for one chance, $10 for three; ticket holders need not be present to win). Rules: only paid hunters on the fields, headphones are REQUIRED, no large shovels, no alcohol, refill all holes. Open to non-members at a higher rate. Pay by cash, check payable to ESMDA, or Venmo; a signed entry form is mailed to the club treasurer.
