About this hunt
Digstock returns to Rest-A-Bit Farm in Tarboro for what the organizers state is the final event ever held on the property, before construction permanently alters the land. Billed as a Native American artifact dig with a first-class metal-detecting component — the ticket explicitly gives the holder the opportunity to dig for artifacts or metal detect for the full three days. The site was a large Tuscarora village with Coree tribal networks throughout, and detectorists at previous Digstock events recovered early colonial buttons, relics and early coinage across multiple areas of the property. Digging runs all three days, with an opening meeting at 8:00 AM Friday, December 4. The event briefly showed sold out in mid-2026 but tickets were back on sale as of August 10, 2026 — capacity is limited, so book early.
