The EARTH Metal Detecting Club of Central New York's annual Delta Lake Member Hunt — Sunday, September 13, 2026, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Delta Lake State Park in Rome, New York. The club's end-of-year picnic hunt, officially the John Seamon Memorial Club Hunt & Picnic: several seeded, timed hunts run through the day on a marked-off section of the beach, with hundreds of silver coins, large cents, Indian Head pennies, jewelry, and specially marked tokens redeemed for prizes hidden in the sand, plus dozens of donated raffle prizes. $40 per hunting member. MEMBERS ONLY, but EARTH membership is open to the public: dues are $30 single or $35 family. Bring a dish to pass; the club provides hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks.
